Yesterday as

Chad and Tauna went to pick up our van (check out our team blog) I was able to go back to home of Pastor Mario and his wife Marta.
Immediately when I met Marta, my heart was drawn to her and I know the feelings were mutual.
So, I was excited to go and visit her again.
As we were driving to Marta’s house, I prayed the Lord would show us what he wanted us to do when we got there.
While I was praying I had a vision of a light yellow house with 1 palm tree.
Which I thought was odd because we were are in

Mexico there aren’t very many palm trees.

When we got to Marta’s house she wanted to take us to a children’s prison nearby to show love to these children and minister to them.
We pulled up to the jail and it was a light yellow house with one palm tree right in the middle of the prison.

Wow…God was just showing me to just put all my trust in Him.
There were 6 boys in the prison ranging from 15-18 years of age.
I was able to play basketball with them, which was fun for me to shoot some hoops; it had been awhile. (I was a college basketball player).

While we were playing basketball, I was able to make a connection with one young man in particular.
His name was Enrique and he was 17 years old, married with one daughter and in a gang.
As we spoke through the little Spanish I know, he shared with me all his tattoos and one was a tear on the corner of his eye.
He explained to me that the tear represented a friend from the gang that had been killed.
Before we left, I told him that I would be praying for him and his family.

This time I saw a tear that wasn’t a tattoo.

Praise report:
The Lord has been tearing down walls of fear and deception in me through our orientation classes we have been taking!

Pictures coming…I know I said that before
