Hello and blessing to all my family, friends and supporters!!  I miss and love you all and I am encouraged by your responses to my blogs.  I am so excited to see God slowly chipping down the spiritual wall that exsists here in China.

As we waved good-bye to our new friends in city number 5 with tears in their eyes, we boarded another bus to another town to meet the other world race teams.  When we arrived to meet the other teams we boarded another bus to the border of Tibet.

Our missionary contact here in China has brought 3 friends (2 from USA and 1 from Puerto Rico) in join us in this next leg.  We decided to mix the teams up for this 4 day leg as we go to other cities at the Tibet border.  So, this leg I am with Tauna and Jocque and Lana (a married couple) from South Africa.  I worked with them in Gautemala so I am very excited to work with them on this leg.

Yesterday all the teams boarded this very uncomfortable bus to the Tibetan border for a 19 hour bus ride.  Wow!  I must say, the views were spectacular of the mountains and the valley.  As we traveled we remained in constant prayer for China and Tibet and the Tibetan buddhists!  About half way through the trip as we drove higher and higher in the mountains the Puerto Rican sitting in the row next to me began to get very sick.  He speaks a little English.  Being from the Carribean he is not used to this extreme cold we are experiencing (the inside windows of the bus froze with a few layers of ice…in the bus!)  He began to suffer extremely from altitude sickness as well as motion sickness and coldness.  He is a pastor of a church in PR.  He stopped breathing a few times and almost passed out and we were no where near a hospital.  We started to bring circulation to his body and all the teams began to pray.  In the middle of the night he layed on 2 seats and kept his feet on my legs as I tried to bring circulation to his feet.  I began to sing praise and worship songs in English and Spanish as he slowly started to feel a little better.  Many others on the bus were very sick as well and they were all sitting by me!  I did not get any sleep on the bus but I think the Lord kept me up to pray and bring encouragment to the sick.

By the way…we got to make our own bathrooms as we squatted on the Tibetan Plataue!

We finally made it to the border of Tibet at 7am in the morning.  We went to a hotel and right to bed!  Today we rest and tomorrow I leave with my new team (only for this 4 day leg) to another town.  One of the reasons I am going to this town is because the other missionary that lives here is from Mexico and speaks limited English!  Who would have thought I would need to pull out my Spanish in China!….haha…isn’t God funny!

Please keep my team of 4 in prayer as we go to unreached Tibetan Buddhists Munks!

Love to you all!  Sarita!
