As we left the gorgeous island the race began….we got a bus walk up this Buddhist staircase (1,120 steep, steep stairs) Chad and I were the ones to complete that task. Afterwards, we hopped a cab to the Siam Safari to ride elephants. What an experience…that was the first time I rode an elephant through a jungle as the thunder rumbled in the sky!
Once in Phuket Town we had to buy a few required items for the race and do some research to turn in at the completion of the race. Now here is the kicker…we had to eat 1 locust and 1 silk worm. I was the worst on my team because I almost couldn’t do it! Thankfully they were fried. The locust tasted like a pork rind but the leg got stuck in my teeth…ewwwww! The silk worm was worst because something in the middle squirted out…no me gusta! Then we jumped anther taxi to Ya Nui Beach to finish the race by swimming to an island to retrieve our flag…Chad did great swimming the distance! Unfortunately we came in 4th (not last) but we had an awesome time racing and working as a team.
I love you all! Thank you for your prayers and support. I am praying for you as well!
