Yesterday, we visited a local pastor, Mario, who has a church out of his house in Matamoros. We met his amazing family and the little Spanish I did know really helped me connect with them, especially with his wife, Marta. Pastor Mario took us to a family’s home in Matamoros that really needed prayer and we were able to pour out God’s love to them and people were changing right in front of our eyes (ojos!)
Later we attended Pastor Mario’s church service on this cold cement floor and his wife Marta gave the sermon. It was very powerful and again, lives were changing and being transformed. Marta made dinner for the congregation and my team blue and they treated us like family….we are going back to this church and family on Saturday.
Today we will be spending more time with orientation and learning how to use our gifts and how to church plant.
Keep us in prayer as we look to purchase a van to take us to Palenque and then to Guatelmala and then to La Angeles. We will then be reselling the car so we can travel to Hong Kong! Speak to you all soon. I pray this blogg finds you doing well.
