Well, I must say this is the first Anniversary I have spent without my husband in 4 years. Challenging as it may sound, the Lord has been so faithful to me and I am so blessed to be apart of the World Race while he serves in Iraq.

I woke up on July 6th and went into the dining area in the Bible School where we are staying. As I got closer to the kitchen there was a wonderful smell that was engulfing the air. Hmmmm….I thought, there must be someone I didn’t know here making food. When I walked in Casey and Cathy said “Happy Anniversary” as I saw Casey flip a piece of French toast! Wow…what a wonderful surprise! You see, a normal breakfast for us is a piece of bread and some jam…so this was quite a treat. The four of us were able to sit down and enjoy a delicious breakfast together. Later that night Chad treated us all to a delicious meal at a very chic local restaurant. We had the pleasure of Cory joining us (a local missionary from the states) for dinner to celebrate as well.

I wasn’t able to spend the day with my husband (I love and miss you, honey), but I couldn’t ask for better friends to spend it with! I love you guys!  Thanks for making my anniversary so special!
