On April 13th was Thailand’s New Year…and boy do they celebrate in a different way! The whole day is a complete water battle. So, everyone makes sure they don’t wear their Sunday best because everyone will get wet if you leave your house! We decided to get motorbikes and drive through the main town where all the action of water battles were going on. I hopped on the back of Chad’s bike with my water gun in hand (given to me from my WR prayer partner…hmmmm…who could it be) and we headed into town squritting everyone I could along the way. We got drenched with buckets of water, hoses, water guns colored water, shaving cream and powder. I am not a big fan of water battles but this was soooo much fun! As you drive along the roads people riding in the back of pickup trucks soak you and you try to soak them back while saying “Happy New Year”…it was great! Chad and I rode around from 11am-5pm.

Then we all got together and topped off the evening with a gorgeous sunset atop a mountain and a candle lit dinner (Thai style) along the beach! What an awesome day! God is so good!
