Originally I didn’t think I was going to be able to see my brother while we were in LA because he had to work and my brother lives in San Diego.
(See the Blue Team blog) Since we arrived in LA a few days earlier, we went to Chad’s family’s house in San Diego, so this gave me the opportunity to see my brother, Michael, his wife, Naomi, and their big Great Dane, Madeline.
They first met me at Chad’s family’s house for dinner where they got to meet my teammates. The following day my brother picked me up after work and Naomi had prepared a delicious meal for the 3 of us. This was the first time I had the chance to see my brother’s new house. In fact, the last time I saw my brother was last May.

After dinner Michael and I just stayed up and talked about how God was moving in our lives and how we were growing personally. I am so proud of my brother and Naomi and the life they have together.
I was able to spend the night at their house and in the morning Naomi left for work early so Michael and I got up talked some more and drank coffee. Then Naomi met us at a restaurant for breakfast. After breakfast, my brother took to shopping to load up on things I needed for the next few legs of the missions trip.
He then had to go to work so he took me back to the Mast’s house. I was so thankful to the Lord that I had the chance to spend the time with Michael and Naomi. It was definitely an unexpected, wonderful surprise. I love you Michael and Naomi! Thanks!
