“Delight yourself also in the Lord, and He shall give you the desires of your heart.” Psalm 37:4
As our plane descended into Nairobi, Kenya, my heart began to pound and tears began to roll down my face. You see, ever since
the 5th grade I had a desire to go to Kenya and do missions work. Now, 20 years later God has been faithful and fulfilled the
desire of my heart. I must say, it is so much sweeter after waiting all these years. I couldn’t believe my dream was actually
coming true!
My team (Blue) was able to stay at the AIM base outside of Nairobi in a small village. The Brown and Red teams will be staying
there for the entire 3 weeks. My team was awaiting a 12 hour bus ride to Uganda. So, not only did God bring me to Kenya, He
also brought me to Uganda.
As I write this I am stationed in Uganda and seeing a gigantic harvest as we are able to go from village to village and home to
home and preach the gospel and many are giving their lives to Jesus. “
Go into all the world and preach the gospel.” Mark
16:15
I encourage you to stay faithful to God and He will give you the desires of your heart like He did for me.
On a lighter note, I’ve been letting my hair grow all year so I could get it braided in Kenya!
