When God tells you to GO, there is no other option. There is no plan B. Only plan A, and that is to follow. Because where He calls, He provides. Where He leads, He brings answers. He fills up and pours out, so that we can pour out.
My journey on the World Race has been one huge call to faith. First in actually applying. I remember the first time I heard about the World Race, and honestly thought,”Wow, that's intense. I don't think I could ever do that.” Now, I can't imagine my life being any different. It's so natural, right. It brings my heart so much life and joy.
My faith was called upon to answer the call. To follow my Savior, no matter what the cost. I faced some of the hardest moments and decisions in my life even before embarking on this great adventure to answer the cry of the Lover of my Soul.
Daily He calls me to have faith. To believe He is the way, truth, and life. To believe my identity is fully and completely in Him. To believe that He heals. Faith to speak His truth and life to team mates and strangers. Faith to reach out my hand to share the Kingdom, even when it's not easy or comfortable. Faith to know that He can and will show up, and all for His glory.
One of the other areas that required faith for me on the Race has been raising support. $14,800 to be exact. That is a huge amount of money. One I even had doubts about being able to raise. It just seems too much. Too large a sum. Quite on the brink of impossible.
But every time, God has shown up, and proven Himself as my Provider. Proven Himself all powerful. $14,800 is a drop in the bucket to Him. He has unlimited resources to call upon to supply where He calls and leads.
So far, I have seen Him bring in $11,000 of the $14,800. And honestly, I am in awe. To see $11,000 in support appear in my support account is nothing less than astounding. It is a true testament to God's faithfulness and goodness. (And thank you so much, all of you who have contributed to this journey and made that number possible! You are the hands and feet of Christ!)
Our final deadline is fast approaching this January. For this deadline, we have to have all of our $14,800 in our support account, or pledged to be given into our support account. For me, that leaves roughly $3,800 left to raise.
My human flesh wants to cry out and say “How in the world is this going to be done, since I am half way across the world from my supporters?” But then I remember what God has called me to. I remember His faithfulness. I remember that where He calls, He provides.
Please prayerfully consider supporting me in this season as I raise the remaining $3,800 to finish my race. If I do not raise the final $3,800, I will be heading home early. I know that God has work for me to do in every one of the countries on this race route.
