While in Transnistria, Jenny and I were able to paint a series of murals for the church we worked with. We were both estatic to work with the church and paint them a mural. At first, we thought that we would be painting just one mural, so we worked on and prayed over an idea together. Low and behold, the day we were to begin the process, they brought us two blank canvases. We prayed about it, and decided to go with our original idea, but spread it out. I would do a silhouette of lion, with Psalm 92:12-15 in Russian, and Jenny would paint the silhouette of a tree with the same Psalm in English.
So we set to work! Here are some pictures of the progress, and the finished products! I loved the chance to paint one more mural, and collaborate with another artist. Such a blessing! Here also is what Psalm 92:12-15 says:
The righteous will flourish like a palm tree,
they will grow like a cedar of Lebanon;
13 planted in the house of the Lord,
they will flourish in the courts of our God.
14 They will still bear fruit in old age,
they will stay fresh and green,
15 proclaiming, “The Lord is upright;
he is my Rock, and there is no wickedness in him. ”
