Time is literally flying by me, I can't believe it is almost May! It feels like only yesterday I was praying about applying for the World Race, and here I am, only a few months left before I embark on the journey of a lifetime to proclaim God's mighty name!
In just 30 days, all of the August 2011 squad (aka, my 50 teammates and I) will gather together in Tennessee for a week of training. This is the time where we will meet each other for the first time, gather together in worship and prayer, and prepare for the eleven month journey ahead of us. I can't tell you how excited I am to meet my fellow teammates. We've all been talking on facebook, the phone, etc ., but we will all actually get to meet in person in just a few weeks. The anticipation is rising.
We can all sense that God is going to do great things through us all as a team, and we all can't wait to see what that is, and see all the glory brought to HIS name. It will be a beautiful thing!
However, in just 17 short days, we all have our first support-raising deadline of needing to reach $3,000. We must reach this goal in order to go to training camp and continue on in preparation for the World Race. I am currently at $1,092.50, and I am SO grateful and thankful for all of that support that has come in so far! I am truly blessed.
In 17 days, I need to raise another $1,907.50 so that I can journey to Tennessee to participate in training camp with my squad. Would you prayerfully consider joining me on this mission that God has laid on my heart? Would you please help send me where God has called? I would be more than honored to go as your representative, and be used by God to accomplish His will around the world.
I can't do this without you. We are all a team, striving for the glory of God's name, and for His love and salvation to be known around the world. God has called us all to different roles in this task, and He has called me to be His hands and feet overseas.
How has He called you? I encourage you to follow Him wherever He has called, whatever that looks like! He created each of us uniquely, with unique gifts and talents, and has prepared a special role for each of us to advance His kingdom. What is yours?
