Sights: My idea
of colorful Africa was met, but a little different than
I thought/envisioned. The buildings
aren’t nearly as painted as I had thought…however, there are remnants of Big
Brand Advertising: Coke & Cell phone companies painted ads on buildings are
really the only touch of color
- Our
first stop was Rest Stop with zebras and hippos in the pasture and…
- a
hamburger BBQ place fit for TX!

- Colorful
clothes - Precious
kids
- RED
DIRT - Sandals
for everyone - Chickens
roaming wild - Capalanas
are multipurpose: a single piece of fabric that can be used for anything!

- Green
hills, big trees, bright greens - Bright
wide eyes of kids - Full
rainbows over the ocean J - Breast
feeding moms…everywhere - Veggies
and citrus in abundance
- Goats tied up on side of streets all around town
- Roller coaster roads
- Delicious Prawns and frying grease 🙂

- Babies
crying…even in class! - “Bon
Dia” greetings as people pass one another on the street - birds
chirping as the sun rises - horns
honking - beautiful
voices uplifted to the Lord - Waves crashing
- hands
clapping - Birds singing, bogs barking
- feet
stomping in lively dance - giggles of innocent children

Smells:
- poopie
diapers-children aren’t frequently changed like in the states - chai from the hot tea served to students and children at the Bible College

- seaweed
and fish smells wafting from the sea - amazing
scents of sautéing vegetables and rice - burning trash and brush
