Sights:

many public function facilities and halls

Hindu temples and shrines scattered along roadside

trash piled everywhere-no trash bins, just loose rubbish

·        
Coca-Cola ads on buildings, bus stops, stone fences

·        
cows sharing the street with cars and pedestrians

  

·        
men standing on the edge of the road…taking care of business in the absence
of facilities

·        
flashing Christmas-style lights on residential windows, in buses and on
restaurant and store fronts

·        
food stalls with fruits, vegetables, street delicacies (all things fried),
drinks and snacks

·        
The ambiguous head bob/tilt that can mean “Yes,” “No,”
and “I understand” (really confusing)

·        
tricycle carts: man propelled with flat wooden board on back to carry goods
and people

·        
men in skirts (called lungees)    

·        
shoes outside homes or stores

·        
colorful fabrics of women’s sari’s (wraps) accented with silver jingles

·        
3-4-5 &6 people on a motorcyle

·        
little children fully adorned with anklets, earrings, sequin outfits and
henna

·        
selling of single cigarettes from convenient stand

Smells:

grilled meat

sautéed onions

Sounds:

·         rice burner engines revving

·    horns honking (this is in place of the blinker I assume)

·        
drums beating

·         sizzling rice in a wok at street side vendor

construction hammers

·         children laughing
