Thoughts during squad Worship:

Chains will be broken

There will be freedom

Freedom will come

Lord You bring freedom

Break the pain God

Let there be freedom

I need a savior

You break the chains

There will  be freedom

I’ve been set free

There is an overwhelming sense that Haiti is dangerous, corrupt, violent, and worthless.  Lord I ask that with hearts that are open, eyes that see and ears that discern, we rejoice in the opportunities that you’ll extend to us this month. There is so much I’m going to struggle to understand and tolerate; the only way to survive is to embrace the strength you fill in me.  I pray for my desire to dive deeper.  A squad leader presented the image of floating on a raft in the middle of the ocean to illustrate the desire and need to dive deeper.  We sit, floating, waiting for something to pop the comfortable float. Yet the Lord whispers, “It is not necessary for something or someone to pop the boat or pull you out of your spiritual comfort level.â€  My chains were broken and in the Lord I am free.  I can roll off, dive out or pop the raft.  Anyway I choose to get into the deep, wide, expanse of His ocean is enough.  I am enough.
