Over the past five years God has taken me on an incredible journey of learning and growing closer to Him. He has given me a heart for the people He has created, and to reach them with the love of Christ. Through my first international experience to Haiti in 2012, God opened my eyes and heart to the overwhelming number of children around the world who have been orphaned or abandoned. I had no idea that one week could have such an impact on someone’s life, but my view of this world was forever changed. Since then, it has been an up and down battle of learning to rest in my Father’s incredible grace. There have been seasons of heartache and pain, but there have also been times of incredible joy and peace. I am beyond excited to walk this next season of my life hand-in-hand with my Father, one step at a time.
So let’s go! Why not drop everything and travel the world for nine months? Seems totally logical to me! I tried to play the game of making everyone else happy, doing the “right” thing and going to school, getting a job, and living life like any other 18 year old would. However, I eventually decided to step out in faith and go against the norm. To give up the comforts of a “normal” life, and to see where God might take me. So here I am, preparing to embark on the most crazy and incredible journey of taking the gospel to the ends of the earth.
