We’re back from China! Safe and sound… I’m writing this update from the Hong Kong airport. Tonight we fly to Johannesburg, South Africa by way of a layover in Dubai. I can’t believe we’re done with the continent of Asia! We’re coming up on our half way point. Wow.
Our time in China was completely amazing… I can’t articulate exactly what my expectations were going into it. I think I expected it to be cold, which it was. I expected to eat a lot of Chinese food, which we did. But, it was completely different than Chinese food at home… and completely delicious. I think I expected oppression from Communism, which there was. But, I also expected God to be MIA because he’s not allowed to be there… which was completely false. Turns out where God is least wanted is just where he likes to show up the most! I can’t give specifics about where we were or who we worked with but here is the updated Meat Log with a few little tidbits of our adventures.
Please pray for us as we leave Asia. Praise God for all he’s done in us and through us in this continent. Please pray for continued health… we are all doing great so far! Pray that we are refreshed and ready to take on the challenge of Africa.
