As the race to Palenque comes to an end we were able to enjoy the ruins today, and spend a few hours in town shopping and using the internet. As I type this I am a little tired from the 40 hour bus ride full of layovers, and sleeping in the bus station. The race started out in Reynosa, where we were dropped off at the park and let loose. Our team, being the only team without anyone who could speak Spanish expected to come in last on this leg of the race. Suprisingly, we were able to find our way to the bus station and purchase tickets, which was huge for us.
Suprisingly, we came in second place, which was a HUGE feat for us, as we had expected to get last place. I am so excited for this coming week of intense training here in Palenque, and I hope you will continue to keep us in your prayers, and keep the comments coming!
