Since there are only 3 days left until I am on a plane heading to Launch, it’s only fitting to share the 3 things I will miss, that I have learned, and that I look forward to on this crazy adventure I am about to embark on. There are so many things that I could say about home but we will just stick to 3

What I will miss

  1. I will miss my goofy Dad who is the sweetest Dad anyone could ask for. There is no one that loves loving me more than him.
  2. I will miss my (also goofy) sister. Although it took about 22 years for us to become good friends I will miss not getting to see her blossom in her marriage and start building her life with her husband. I will miss Disney movie nights, Sunday Lunches, and dinner dates but cannot wait to start those back up again in their new home.
  3. But most of all I will miss my Mom… this lady is awesome.. let me tell you. There is no one with a stronger love for the Lord than her. She has shown me how to love and how to trust in what the Lord has provided for our lives. I will miss our Sunday night Downton Abbey dates. And our every other day phone calls. She is my best friend and I will miss getting to hug her neck all the time.

What I have learned

  1. I have learned that I am loved beyond belief. Not only by the Lord but by so many people in my life. I have gotten nothing but the best support in every way. I have received nothing but encouragement and love for me and this adventure.
  2. I have learned that forgiveness is so necessary in moving forward in my walk with the Lord. I have worked through some forgiveness in my life which has allowed me to walk in the sweetest freedom. Although there is still work to be done, seeing the other side is a breath of fresh air.
  3. That I have only just begun. There has been a lot of freedom and growth over the past few months but I have learned that this is just the beginning. I will forever be walking forward in my walk with the Lord and there is will always be work to do. In the sweetest way the Lord wants us to be the person he created us to be, and the only way to get there is through hard work. I am still learning, but am ready for this journey that we have started.

What I look forward to

  1. Traveling. There is so much more to the race than just traveling. But I cannot wait for that aspect. I have always dreamed of getting to travel the world and now I get to while also sharing Jesus!!
  2. Loving people. No matter what we are doing for the month whether it be street ministry or manual labor we will get to love the people the Lord puts in front of us. There will be so many opportunities to share His love with his people. It will be such a gift to get to share this love with so many people.
  3. FOOOOOOODDDDDD. I love food. Like for real. It may be very interesting in certain places but getting to experience every culture and the food of that culture is such an adventure in itself. I am a little nervous for what could come, but so excited to see what will happen.
