I never stop adventuring. People like to tell me how they wish they could do what I’m doing, or that they hope one day they’ll get to do it. I adventure because it’s something I’m passionate about, and I therefore search for the opportunities to do so. If you truly love something, then the best way to do it is by trying to. For example, if you want ice cream, you don’t just sit on your couch dreaming of ice cream; you go and buy ice cream. Dreams don’t just fall in your lap–you work for them.

All you can ever do is be the person you want to be. There is no such thing as “becoming the person you want to be” because all you have is right now. The future is not a guarantee and the past in unmoving. All you can ever do is be who you want to be right now. If you hate something about yourself or you want to go do something, then do it! The only person holding you back is you.

I was sitting around dreaming that the world would be a better place where Christ’s love and hope was easily spread, but that didn’t do any good. I can dream about a more peaceful world all I want, but it will never change if I just sit on my couch watching movies. I have a passion for travel, so I dove into a beautiful peace program called CISV and helped shaped the minds of children into peace keepers and humans who see other countries as friends, no large objects to be conquered or ruled. It was a volunteer program that stole my heart and I miss all the time, but I helped 44 children see that there is more to the world than just the name of countries.

I’m proud to have been a small piece in this world that makes it a little better. No one person can change every aspect of the world and make it better for everyone–it’s impossible. All we can do is try to do our part and help as many people as we can, and pray for a ripple effect. My next mission in making part of the world a better place is the World Race.

I will travel to 11 different countries in 11 months, helping in whatever ways they need. I also want to make it clear that I’m not bragging or trying to boast my own self worth, because I don’t believe I have a lot to give. I’m only able to do any of this because God sent me to do His work on earth. I live because He wanted me to live. I love because His love is all powerful. I work to better the earth because He desires the best for all His creation.

The Lord is so good! Allow Him to work through you and see how He can help you to better your part of the world! Don’t wait until you have the means to do it tomorrow, do it today while you have the will, the Lord will provide the rest.
