A Dad is a person
who is loving and kind,
And often he knows
what you have on your mind.
He's someone who listens,
suggests, and defends.
A dad can be one
of your very best friends!
He's proud of your triumphs,
but when things go wrong,
A dad can be patient
and helpful and strong
In all that you do,
a dad's love plays a part.
There's always a place for him
deep in your heart.
And each year that passes,
you're even more glad,
More grateful and proud
just to call him your dad.
I have one of the Best dads in the world. I feel after traveling the world for 11 months and seeing dads of all cultures I am qualified to make such a bold statement. My race experience would have looked very different if it weren’t for my amazing dad. Not only did he recommend I pack a lot of useful things I thought were useless until I needed them. Aka ear plugs and a solar blanket he has also been one of my biggest supporters. I know that every time I go on Facebook there will be a message waiting for me from him. I don’t think I have ever skyped my dad and hung up without a smile on my face. I am so blessed to have a dad who is not shy to tell me how much he loves me and pushes me to greatness. So again I know this is not Father’s Day but due to the fact that I did not have internet access when it was I still wanted to let my dad know how grateful I am that he is my dad.
