I’ve been working on drawing more this month, because it’s a gift I’ve been given that I haven’t been using and I’m severely out of practice. I love teaching and encouraging people to draw because it teaches so much about life and now I see how much it can teach us about the God who created us each time I pick up my pen.

When I show my work often I want to point out the mistakes, I look at it and I see where proportions are off and I see the mistakes I made. But unless you were sitting with me watching me work, you probably don’t even notice. It’s a lot like life, we focus on our flaws and mistakes much more than the people around us do.
Over the last several months God has used my artwork and the artwork of others to teach me more about how he sees me. He doesn’t mind if we make mistakes because he knows how to turn those stray marks and messes into something beautiful.

God is the original creator and though sometimes we doubt his work (ourselves) he knew exactly what he was doing. He doesn’t see mistakes in how he created us he sees beauty and unlimited potential. And what he wants for us is to go out and live creatively the way he created us unafraid of the mistakes we might make, because if we rely on him he’ll make them beautiful every single time.

“And we know that for those who love God all things work together for good, for those who are called according to his purpose.” -Romans 8:28
God’s been so great in providing over $16,000 so far on this journey, but we still need about $1,100 to be fully funded. Would you consider making a donation of $11 today? If all of my blog readers donate just $11 I’d be fully funded. Thanks for reading and your continued support!
