This month I’ll be sharing a little bit about each country we plan to serve on the World Race.  In keeping with a theme of focusing on the countries we’ll be visiting I’m doing an Adopt-a-Country fundraiser.  This is a great way to get the whole family involved, possibly a small group or even a team at work and it’s so easy.  I’ll be visiting 11 countries and I have a jar for each country (and an extra or two).  All you have to do is comment and let me know which country you’d like to adopt and I’ll get a jar to you. (Out of town friends and family you can still participate, it will just look a little different.)

Once you have your jar fill it with spare change and prayer requests for that country or the trip in general.  Once you’ve filled the jar I’ll pick it up and that money will go towards my World Race fund and I’ll hold on to the prayer requests.

Here are the countries you have to choose from in the order that I will be visiting:

  • El Salvador – Adopted by Veronica (she’s from there!)
  • Guatemala – Carlos
  • Honduras – Adopted by Tiffany (sister-in-law has done missions there)
  • Nicaragua – Adopted by Mary Catherine (she just got back from WR this past year, check out her blog)
  • Cote d’Ivoire
  • Ghana – Jason
  • Nepal – My step-mom will be taking this to the program that she volunteers with
  • India – Adopted by two friends — Kristi traveled there during her WR adventure and Samantha and her husband will be adopting from India soon
  • Malaysia – Debbie and her team at work
  • Indonesia
  • Philippines – Jad

If you haven’t already checked out my post on where I’m going you can find it here.

I’m really excited about this opportunity and being able to share more about each country I’ll be in throughout the month.   I’d love for you to have a personal connection with the countries that I visit and this is a great way to do it.
