You might think it’s impossible to love every single person you come in contact with, but I’m beginning to think otherwise. I know it’s not easy to love someone who may of hurt you, but it is possible! You see, (and many of you probably already know this) but love is not a feeling. But love is a verb, an action verb infact! Love is something you choose to do. Why? Because the Bible tells us to! The Bible tells us to not only ‎Love Our Neighbors (Galatians 5:14), but  to ‎Love Our Enemies as well (Matthew 5:44). Did you know the word love is mentioned 310 in the kJV Bible?
‎ The Bible tells us that the greatest love is when you lay your life down for another. The Bible also gives an example of that great love in Matthew 27 when Jesus dies on the cross for our sins. It doesn’t say we have to literally die in order to show love, but to die to ourselves…
‎ Have you ever made cabbage stew? You can have a pot over flowing with cabbage, but what happens after it has been heated for a while? The cabbage begins to shrink. That’s exactly how we should be when we allow Jesus into our life’s. We should allow Him to take out everything that is not of Him, to remove anything that is not of love. We should die to ourselves and put others first.Throughout the past few months I have learned to love so many people! God has not only broken my heart, but has also opened it up. Each time I have to say goodbye to these amazing people knowing I will most likely never see them again. But I have left with them a piece of my heart, and God has replaced it with a piece of His. And that my friends is what cabbage stew is all about!
