So the last 48 hours have been pretty hectic for me… My best friend got married on Saturday and if any of you reading this and have ever been involved with a wedding you know how crazy it gets!! However she was beautiful and I am so happy for both of them!!! After I left the wedding, I went to baby sit for a friend to earn a little extra money towards The WR!! While babysitting I struck up a conversation with one of my squad mates. One of the first things he asked was ‘.. So you ready for HELL & Demons??” I was like OK what is this guy talking about so my response was “HUH?” He went on to explain what he meant.. ” You know when we step off the plane into other countries that we are now on the devils playground and that he is going to do anything he can to stop us!!” As I pondered his statement for a moment… I realized that even though I would LOVE to punch the devil in the face a few good times… I dont have to!! Im going to each country with the God on my side and.. please!!.. tell me who could stand against me with such a great power surrounding me!! When we step off the plane that playground will have a new owner!! JESUS CHRIST!!
Even after the conversation was over… this topic of the “devils playground” lingered in my head!!
I dont know about the rest of my team… but I know for sure the devil didn’t wait until I got to another country!! He started here!! He filled my head with thoughts of negativity and hopelessness… and almost succeeded in changing my mind about the race. However, I now have only one thing to say to the devil…
BRING IT ON!! The LORD is my light and my salvation- whom shall I fear? The LORD is the stronghold of my life – of whom shall I be afraid??I wrote this because its not just a piece of advice for me and my team members, but for absolutly anyone dealing with fear!! When I was little.. and scared of the dark.. mama would tell me to say out loud ” Devil I rebuke you.. The Lord is my light and salvation.. whom shall I fear!!”.. I would say it over and over again! I remember there being a sudden peace and I would know the God was right there with me!!
Next time you have any fear.. may it be the dark or trying to raise a large amount of money in a little time… remember that verse and repeat until you have the peace of knowing that God is on your side!!
Dear Heavenly Father God,
I just come to you today asking that you give me a peace in my heart! From now on I choose not to worry about my fears, but to only hand them over to you!! God I know that you look at my fears and laugh.. God I know that anything is possible with you on my side!! Lord I pray that you make your presence known in every part of the world and I pray that people have an open heart to accept you!! I thank you so much for every blessing you have bestowed upon me Lord! I love you and I will continue to walk in your name God!! Lord i ask that you lay a hand on each and every one of my squad members.. whatever there problem may be.. whether it be mental, physical, emotional, spiritual God I dont know but you do!! I give it all to you!! In Jesus name, AMEN
I LOVE ALL YOU GUYS!! PLEASE KEEP ALL EMERGENCY PERSONNEL IN YOUR PRAYERS, AS WELL AS, THE FAMILIES FACING GREAT LOSS FROM THE FIRES THAT ARE RACING THROUGH TEXAS!!
