Hey there! I’m Sara π
I recently graduated from Malone, a small Christian college in northeast Ohio. My time at Malone proved to be nothing shy of transformational, as God surrounded me with the very people I needed most – friends and mentors who boldly pushed me forward through times of fear, who encouraged me through times of doubt, who supported me in decisions that were so incredibly difficult to do out of my own desire, but were completely what the Lord desired of me. God began revealing His grace and love to me through the people in my life who were eager to affirm the good in me, but also willing to challenge the areas of weakness they saw in my life.
Rather than continue to tell you all about myself, I’d rather keep things a little more exciting and just show you.
I live on a farm in Ohio with my mom, dad, brother, and Tucker (our dog, but definitely the favorite child).

In my mom’s eyes, he can do no wrong.
I’m part of a big family and most of us live right here in Wayne County, Ohio!

So what does most of my family do?
We farm pigs π

I love competition π but not in a “win at all costs” way…more like a “let’s work together as a team and DO THIS.” But sometimes nothing excites me more than a little competition!

I love traveling and serving overseas! Here are some pictures from some of the places I’ve been blessed to travel to thus far π
Venezuela 2005 – this was my first mission trip.

We ran a basketball camp for local kids.

Kenya 2009 – We helped local missionaries as they built a church, drilled a well, and installed an irrigation system to grow crops year round

It was also in Kenya that I was able to meet my sponsor child, Samuel!

and he got to see his first giraffe…and maybe do a little more than just look at it π

Israel 2011 – Service Learning trip with my Malone University.

It is thanks to the wonderful support of family and friends here at home that I have been able to go on the trips that have fueled my passion for traveling. And it is because of those people, that I am now able to press on towards what God has called me to: The World Race. Through the process of applying to the WR, being accepted, and beginning to fundraise, I’m learning the importance of simply being obedient and trusting that God is faithful.
I wouldn’t say that I’m typically a person who worries or fears, but since being accepted to go on the WR, I often find myself doing both. Of course the enemy is going to stop at nothing to prevent anyone (including me) from going on a trip like this – a trip where God is glorified, the Power of the Holy Spirit is revealed, and people all across the globe come to know the love of Jesus.
