It’s been almost three weeks since I moved to Gainesville, GA to join the Center for Global Action. I realize that I didn’t know fully what I was getting myself into when I first signed up. I just knew it was the next step God had for me. But now that I have been here, and have a better idea of what this season may look like, I want to let you all know about my life here.

This week, let me tell you about my house.

I share a house with five other girls and our house mentors, Josh and Bri. Danae, Anika, Beka, and I were all on M Squad and did the World Race together. Dani and Kayla were both on a different squad and just returned home this summer.

But don’t be fooled by that classy photo. We would all much rather be in comfy clothing, goofing around, and making human pyramids!

We get along great and can go from painting our nails to rough housing to serious talk to laughing to praying for each other all in a matter of 30 minutes. That really happened one night.

I share a room with Danae, the sweet gal I was on a team with for 4 months!

During a day off in Malaysia, the two of us went on an adventure around Penang Island.

Here’s our cozy room! We love it 🙂

Our house is nestled right on Lake Lanier, and it’s just a short walk from our house down to the shoreline.

But so you aren’t left wondering, let me just say that the fishing is not that great. Granted, we didn’t have fishing poles, and were using bread and corn for bait.

Good thing we get a food stipend, or I’d probably go hungry.

But I think the most important thing you need to know

…is that we look great in banana costumes.

Stay tuned to for more to come!!
