As most of you know, this month has been a bit of a struggle for me…illness, exhaustion, frustration…but it’s now time to play the thankful game, so here goes:
I am so thankful for my supportive and loving team who surrounds me with prayer no matter what I’m going through.
I am thankful for a mighty God who is so much bigger than anything I deal with here on earth.
I am thankful for a bed to sleep in, a roof over my head and good food.
I am thankful for my friends and family who send me messages almost daily. You all help keep me moving forward.
I am thankful to be in a beautiful town with many many coffee shops, free wifi, laundry with dryers and awesome food.
I am thankful that my illness is minor and seems to be fading.
I am thankful for the grace that God has been pouring into me daily so that I can share it with others.
I am thankful for Kristin, who is an amazing cook and willingly cooks food for our team every day, at least twice a day.
I am thankful to be serving God by serving kids and babies.
I am thankful for my laptop, external hard drive and my ipod. All of which are very helpful in falling asleep and passing the time of sick days.
I am super super thankful for earplugs and my eye mask. Both essential for sleep in this environment.
I am excited for and thankful for all the possibilities that have already been discussed for after the Race!
I am thankful for 3 squad leaders who are loving, caring and tons of fun.
I am thankful for the power of prayer and the willingness of those around me to cover me in prayer.
I am thankful for all the new friend we have made here at our hostel: Greg, Will, Ryan, Sean.
I am thankful for the hostel staff who clean up after us, clean the bathroom, go out of their way to make sure we are comfortable.
I am thankful for all the opportunities that God continues to place in my path.
So, despite my little daily frustrations, my days in bed from illness, my dislike of a food here and there…there is so much more to be thankful for!! In the middle of my little mess, I forget how big I’m blessed. Thanks for all your continued prayers and support! And thank you Jesus for being with me every step of the way.
