Honduras
has been amazing for me.  I have
struggled, prayed, worshipped, encouraged, and had many many opportunities to
practice patience.  I have come to know
God better and have grown closer to Him.
I have read my Bible almost every day and have been able to love on
people constantly.  I have learned so
much in this first month of my World Race and I am even more blessed because of
each lesson learned.  Here’s a few:

God will
show up and show out!  Prayer changes
everything.  Alone time is critical.  If you leave your tent open or clean laundry
out to dry…it WILL rain.  Tents are not
soundproof.  Honduran dogs care about and
protect their people.  I hate oatmeal
even more so than before.  Living with 60
other people on a daily basis is hard.
If you are frustrated, take it to God, bring it up in feedback and move
on.  Baby wipes are golden.  Worship is not only music.  Prophesy is real.  I am not homesick (yet).  Missionary=hungry.  My parents have taught me well:  I can do my own laundry, clean anything and
remain organized.  This may sound simple,
but seriously…it isn’t true for everyone.
There is a big maturity gap between early 20s and 34 years old but not a
spiritual one!  Some of the youngsters on
my squad have such a beautiful relationship with God.  Ipods, sunglasses and movies are crucial on
the Race!  I am more of a morning person
than a night person.  7:30pm hits here
and my eyes droop.  It’s true what all
World Racers say:  you CAN sleep
anywhere!  And I could definitely manage
with only 3 outfits.

I am
looking forward to month 2 in Guatemala.
It will be completely different in every aspect.  Rather than living in a tent, we are in a
hostel.  We will be buying, storing and
preparing our own food on a VERY limited budget ($3.75 a day per person).  We will be focused on an orphanage, a hospital, Jr. High students and a home for elderly men for
ministry.  And we only have 21
people (3 teams) together rather than our whole squad of 57.  Antigua, Guatemala, here comes Reckless
Faith, Sanctified: 31 and Raised to Life!
Woot!
