I'm committed to traveling to 11 different countries in 11 months. I'm committed to living my life with new friends, strangers, new cultures and new languages for almost a year. I'm committed to raising $15,500…will you commit to helping? :0)
I'm going to Bulgaria, Romania, Rwanda, Uganda, Kenya, Thialand, Cambodia, Malaysia, Nicaragua, Honduras and Guatemala. Woot, woot, bring it on! I'm going to live out of a backpack for 11 months. I'm going to give up everything I know.
I'm following God's plan, not mine. There was never a question of whether I could leave my jobs, leave my family, leave my church…that's how I know it's God's plan. I'm following in the footsteps of many courageous Racers who forged this same road ahead of me. I'm following the Bible, which says go to all the nations and be disciples. I'm following my heart for missions, for helping others…others before myself.
I'm trusting in the Lord 100%. I'm trusting Him to provide my funding through you and many others. I'm trusting in Him to keep me and my team safe and healthy while we travel. I'm trusting in my friends and family to support me in prayer. I'm trusting in Jesus to walk with me every step of the way. I'm trusting in myself to be the representation of Jesus here on the earth. I'm trusting in my team and squad to help me grow as a child of God.
I'm praying…for everything! I'm praying for strength. I'm praying for courage. I'm praying for SUPPORT and LOVE. I'm praying for all those Racers who are in the midst of this amazing opportunity. I'm praying that I can make the right choices between now and July. I'm praying that I can grow closer and closer to God. I'm praying that He keeps me motivated and focused…not just on the Race but on everything else that is my "everyday life" up until I leave. I'm praying for all my loved ones whom I will have to say good-bye to for a year. I'm praying for wisdom, for the words to best share God's story, my story.
I'm loving God. I'm loving myself. I'm loving the kids that I work with every day, every weekend. I'm loving my Mom and Dad who are my biggest fans even on my worst days. I'm loving my friends who have all been so excited for me and this huge next step. I'm loving all of God's people that I will come in contact with in the months leading up to July and all those I will be blessed to meet on my journey. I'm loving God. I'm loving God. I'm loving God.
I'm sharing myself with each of you. I'm sharing my excitement for what God is doing in my life and the lives of those around me. I'm sharing the love that God has for me and each and every one of you! I'm sharing the Bible with whoever I possibly can. I'm sharing my gifts that God has blessed me with.
The World Race is a missions trip that will give me the opportunity to share God's love through prayer, labor, worship, talking, dancing, teaching, building, relationships and His Word.
