Well, God knows I need constant reminders that He is working in my life and that He knows what's best for me.
Here's a few ways that God provides…
I received a text the other night from a teenager who serves with me in kidWorship. She has been a leader in our program for a few years now and is really a joy to see teaching and leading the little 3-5 year olds! I know that she struggles with severe family issues and the normal drama filled teen stuff. I also have heard and seen times that she has difficulty "shining her light" and "living it out." This is kidWorship speak for living like Jesus and being an example to all you come in contact with, both at church and in our daily lives.
Well, this young lady texted me asking for prayer: "hey, so I think God just laid it in my heart for me to get re-baptized. I changed so much since I was for the first time and I understand so much more. I was wondering if you could please pray for me to come to a decision."
What an honor! I feel blessed and honored to be someone she trusts enough to bring this request to. It's an amazing thing to be a prayer connection for anyone, let alone a teenager. So thank you Lord for creating me to be this person. I will continue to keep this girl in prayer.
There is a man who serves with me every Wednesday night as part of the Guest Services team for Circl3, our High School ministry. While I have known of him for a few years, we have really only been aquaintances. I have been blessed to serve with him for only about 2 1/2 months, but have had the opportunity to talk to him about the World Race. God bless him, he donated $200 to my funding! Thank you Lord for bringing us together to serve You and for laying it on his heart to support me in serving You around the world.
And lastly, there is a woman who serves in kidMinstry as a greeter and a communicator (teaches from stage). Her and her husband have a teenage son and a special needs daughter. I know this family donates to organizations that support the health and growth of their daughter, but they read through my blogs here and rearranged a few things in their budget to give a donation to my World Race fund. I was floored by this. She said that they believe strongly in what God is doing in my life and what I will be doing around the world. I am so blessed and humbled by their giving. Thank you Jesus for providing for this family so they could provide for me.
We serve a truly amazing and awe-inspiring God. He knows just when we need Him most and He shows up in big ways…even in the most minute situations! Now I just need to continue trusting in Him and following His way, not mine. I love you Lord!
