Well, let’s see…

Dame un beso, Armando!

In the past week or so I have:

  • Watched a volcano erupt from the rooftop of my hostel.

  • Visited rural Mayan schools to teach students about the importance of choice when it comes to listening to our thoughts. Team Nacho Biznass (aka teachers for the month) graciously allowed us to take part in their lessons and skits. Its been a while since I have been in front of a class!

  • Spent time at Casa Maria, a retirement home, where we love on the abuelitos (grandparents) who live there. The living conditions are quite sad but the women of Z squad have shown light and hope into an otherwise dreary place. We had spa day, worship, coloring time, aerobicas, dancing and a rousing round of balloon!

  • Celebrated little Alberto’s 3rd birthday! It was the first birthday party for these little guys and it was SO precious to be a part of their experience!

Loved on the babies at Casa Jackson. We got three newbies in this week who are skinny little guys right now but will be chunky and healthy in no time! Please keep praying for Jesus to pour out His love and health on Armando, Jose David and Saul!

This month has been a blessing. It’s been a delightful time of fellowship with my sisters and laughter and some pretty darn good meals and amazingly perfect weather. It’s been full of snuggling babies and volcanos erupting and a few nights of real pizza and some sweet heart-to-heart conversations.

It’s also been hard.

I’ve been wrestling it out with Jesus for the past few days.
Thank the Lord for a hostel with a rooftop that I can sit on and cry out to Him from.
I am so grateful that He can stand my yelling and my crying all at once and that He is the restorer of my JOY and my HEART.
I am thankful for my God who is more than enough today, tomorrow and for the rest of my life.
I am thankful for His presence, His pursuit of my heart and His BIG dreams for me.

Here in Guatemala, I am thankful.

Z Squad departs at 3:30am (wahoo!) on Friday, June 1st for MONTH TEN in Honduras! We will all be together at Zion’s Gate ministries outside of Tegucigalpa with Tony Dien this month. Looking forward to fellowship and FUN with my Z family!

Can you believe we only have 2 months left?! CRAZY! See ya in 61 days, America!
