Hello faithful blog readers!

I know it’s been a while…please forgive me.

Life has been kind of crazy these past few weeks! Last thing you heard was that I was in Bulgaria, right? Well, lots has changed since then. I’m on a whole different continent!

After our week in Bulgaria, Chrin and I continued on our Euro Tour to Slavonski Brod, Croatia. We joined Team Ruach in a variety of ministries including volunteering at a school for children with disabilities, sharing our Cardboard Testimonies and stories of God’s faithfulness with the local church and hanging out with Roma children at the Una Klub.

We were also blessed with a day of adventure! We got to visit Plitvice Lakes. The pictures speak for themselves…this place is BREATHTAKING.

From there, Chrin and I headed to Budapest, Hungary – stop #6 on our 6 country tour. Our squad trickled in over 4 days and we were FINALLY reunited as Z family! May 1 began our crazy travel day(s) to debrief and month NINE in GUATEMALA!

Chrin and I at the Parliment in Budapest

Our travel day(s) included 4 flights (Budapest-Warsaw-JFK (Hello America!)-Miami (FLORIDAAA!)-Guatemala City), two bus rides, a 9 hr layover in JFK and a TGI Friday’s pecan crusted chicken salad for breakfast in Miami. 32 hours and 3 continents later the Z family arrived in Antigua, Guatemala!

that's me under the red blanket. most of my time in JFK looked like this…

…and this. Just another travel day with 41 of my closest friends!

Maggie's pack took a shampoo bath on it's way from Warsaw to JFK…oops.

oh heeeyyyy Florida!

Z Squad arrives in Guatemala…notice all the packs strapped to the top of the vans.

We spent the first four days in Central America at debrief where we worshipped and prayed as a family, heard words of encouragement and got some good challenges from AIM staff and talked about what re-entry looks like. We also had family skit night – let me tell you, these people are FUNNY!

Megan (alumni squad leader), Chrin, Ashley (our awesome field support) and Jimmy – THANK YOU!!!

Chrin and I took a few days to recuperate from our whirlwind week with Megan in Panajachel on Lake Atitlan. B-E-A-UUU-TI-FUL. Exactly what we needed. Jesus time, boat rides, volcanic lakes, sunshine…yes please!

This month is Manistry/Womanistry month so the men and women are separate for ministry. Par-tay! The men are out in Puerto Barrios and Chrin and I will be spending the month in Antigua with 20 of our amazing women. I’ll be serving at a rehab center for malnourished babies; we have women teaching character development in school and volunteering at a hospice home as well! Antigua, get ready for heaven to come down to earth via these incredible daughters of the King.
