Exciting news to share – launch date, first ministry location, AND a support update…buckle up!
First things first – LAUNCH DATE
I will officially be leaving on Sept 4th for the World Race! The rest of the Team Leaders (Christin, Dusty, John Michael, Ashley, Kevin and Nick), our Logistics guys David and Chris, our awesome financially-minded teammates, and our two Squad Leaders (Megan and Joshua) will be meeting up in Atlanta, Ga on Sept 5th…

(Z squad leaders! Dusty, Megan, John Michael, Joshua, Christin, Kevin, Ashley and Nick!)
…and then the rest of the Z squad family will arrive on the 6th for launch!
We'll receive more training and be able to worship and bond as a squad more before heading off to our first stop…
the Philippines!!
My Team H.O.P.E. will be spending the month in beautiful Puerto Galera on the island of Mindoro working with Threads of Hope, Inc. This ministry exists to give women a source of reliable work and income (rather than working in bars or "tourism") by making bracelets, and they hear the Word and good news of Jesus! We are all stoked to love on the children there, build relationships with the families who work at TOH and encourage our brothers and sisters in Christ. [My teammate and financial go-to gal Raquel is actually from the Philippines, so not only will she be a huge help with Tagalog (the language spoken there) but she'll get to visit her homeland!]

I am especially pumped about this opportunity to connect with people who have played a huge part in my Race! Many of you are sporting the brightly colored bracelets made in Puerto Galera and I hope you can join in my excitement in connecting with these people and investing in their lives. (if you are interested in purchasing a bracelet, email me!)

and finally…Support Update!
I could probably write a thousand blogs and never fully be able to express my gratitude towards you all. Because of your generous hearts and prayers, I am only $1,300 from being FULLY FUNDED! It will be SUCH a blessing to not have to support raise while on the field, and I am truly grateful. On April 1 when I sent out my first support letter, I began praying that I would be able to be fully funded before launch. I am SO in awe of our faithful, faithful God and how He chose to answer that prayer! If you are still interested in being a part of this journey, you can click the "Support Me!" tab on the left hand side of this blog.
I am honored and humbled, seriously, to have you all be a part of this journey with me!! THANK YOU for belieiving in me and believing in the KINGDOM. 9 days…here we go!
