So here I am, standing in awe of God again.

I’m staring into the face of my Creator displayed in Ana, Zoron and sweet Zorna’s lives and I’m just in awe of how awesome our God is, how magnificent His plan is, how deep His love runs for each and every one of His children.

It is my honor and privilege to introduce you to this family.

Ana was a heroine addict for 10 years. She felt empty inside – she didn’t know whether she wanted to live or die. She finally came to a point where she knew God was trying to get a hold of her but she didn’t know how to get a hold of him. She asked her brother to take her to a local Orthodox monastery where miracles supposedly occurred, but she had no such experience and left feeling even emptier.

Zoron was addicted to heroine for 20 years of his life. He too had lost the will to live, but God, in His grace, connected him with a rehab center just as he reached the end of his rope. He was loved and taught the Truth, which wrecked him. His eyes were opened to the pride and the sin in his life and he spent two months being wrecked and restored and healed by the love of God.

God led these two old friends to one another, to Himself and to Holy Trinity church here in Posarevac, Serbia. (Click here to read amazing story of this church and Pastor Dragan) He also gave them a beautiful daughter, Zorna. She was born two months premature and weighed just one kilo (about 2.2 lbs) at birth. Her tiny little body fit in her father’s hand. She battled lung disease along with the complications of being so small and weak and the doctors never had much hope that she would even make it outside of the hosptial.

The church prayed and fasted. God moved. Zorna began to get better. 6 months later, she was completely healed and completely healthy. Looking at the precious toddler with the infectious laugh that is FULL of joy, you would never know how scary her first few months of life were. Zorna is the picture of redemption, of God taking the pain and the hurt and turning it into something so sweet and beautiful. Ana and Zoron were baptized shortly after and have been sitting at the feet of Jesus ever since.

Our God is a miracle worker

He moves mountains.

He makes the impossible happen.

Testimonies like Ana and Zoron’s remind me of how BIG our God is. It gives me hope for the big prayers I’m praying. I am reminded that as I lay my life and the lives of others in the hands of the Creator, He is faithful to move and restore and redeem. He is SO good.
