I asked Him to walk me through the beginning of re-entry and the ache of leaving my squad and the anxiousness of living in the first world for at least a year and all of that in months 9-10 so that month 11 could be a month of rejoicing.
He was definitely faithful to answer that prayer! Last month was hard.
But this month has brought on the fun part…REJOICING!

Performing at a kids program for nearly 2000 people!
I am LOVING celebrating this crazy journey by laughing with my Sound sisters and my 220 family until I have tears every single time we get in the van (which we do a LOT. like, a lot a lot.).

Happy 4th of July from the Panama canal!
I love worshipping at Casa de Luz (Lighthouse) in Spanglish and sharing our stories and praying for the people of the community of Volcan where we live.
I don't particularly love lice, however.
PLEASE take a few moments and read Kat Davis' blog to understand why 5 of the 15 adults living in this house are wearing shower caps every where we go and soaking our heads with mayonnaise and vinegar and spending countless hours combing through every strand of each others hair.
The funny thing is..it's worth it.
Linda in Honduras got hugged for the first time in who knows how long and made a promise that she wouldn't end her life.

We have no shame. We will nit-pick anywhere..including the Panama Canal!
That's worth it. Lice for Jesus is worth it.
So if I'm 24 and spend the next week walking around looking like a fool and smelling like a foot, it's worth it.
If I have to keep picking nits out of my hair and my sisters' hair because now Linda know that someone loves her and people are praying for her and believing her life is worthwhile, it's worth it.
PRAY for Linda
. Pray for her heart and her life and that she would radically encounter the HOPE and LOVE of Jesus again and again until she can feel His arms wrapped so tightly around her.Lice isn't all that bad…as Maggie likes to remind us, no one ever died because of lice. It's annoying, but it's not the end of the world. And we have laughed a LOT.
