One year ago this week I embarked on a journey that changed my heart and the course of my life.
If August has been a holy month of preparation and waiting over the past two years, then September has become a month of new beginnings.

Last year I packed up in two duffle bags and set off halfway across the world to South Africa. I went alone and had high expectations of how the Lord would use me and what I could do for His kingdom. Boy, was I in for a surprise. My Father wrecked me, in the most beautiful way, and showed me how this is not about me, not at all. It's about His LOVE. He lavished His endless love on me through the people of Worcester. He specifically placed these precious little girls in my life to do so, and my heart was forever changed.

This year I packed up a 44 lbs pack for the year and set off halfway around the world on a new adventure. This time I am joined by 44 Jesus-lovin, Kingdom-breathing crazies who have to same heartbeat as our Father – to see the Kingdom of God brought in the nations, on earth as it is in Heaven. I have been challenged to lay down my expectations and walk in the freedom of trusting my Abba God for every need. I am passionate about seeing people walk in a sense of identity as sons and daughters of the King and experiencing the freedom of Jesus in their lives.

This month in the Philippines has reminded me of the good work God did in my life in South Africa and the ways He broke me for His people. I was somewhat blindsided by how much my heart aches for the people I fell in love with in Worcester. There are a lot of similarities between here and there, and for the first few days I have struggled to connect with the beautiful people here while my heart is remembering. But God is faithful.
Can I just declare that again?
God is faithful.
And once again, He is using some precious little girls to remind me of that.
