It was a typical weekday, when I heard my phone go off. It was my squad chat. I quickly glanced over to check it to see one of the guys asked us if we saw the email. When he said this the first thing I thought was they are changing countries on us again. I started reading through the email, and it started like the one when we were told that Burma was off our route. It was preparing us for what was to come next. As I kept reading my heart sunk to the floor, and I was a little shocked. “We will not be launching all five July routes. Because Route 5 has the fewest participants, we are asking that those currently on this route select from the remaining four routes.” I was on route 5. My phone from there on was non-stop. Initially the shock hit all of us, but as the night went on everyone on the squad was so positive, cracking jokes whenever possible.

So we had to pick a route, again. However we wouldn’t all be on the same squad because the remaining routes couldn’t fit us all. The people I have grown so close to and leaned on are being separated. I checked the remaining routes and saw one that I originally almost picked. The countries really caught my eye. I knew that was the one I was going to choose.

I will now be traveling with July 2015 Route 3. Training camp and launch dates are still the same but the countries are different.

I will now be traveling to:

India
Nepal
Cambodia
Thailand
Malaysia
Botswana
Swaziland
South Africa
Dominican Republic
Haiti
Jamaica

With all this happening I am so excited to see what God has planned for us. It wasn’t for me to go on route 5, but the people that he brought together from that route are a true blessing.

I’m ready, and excited!
