Hello!
My name is Sara Katherine Braucher and I am from Athens, GA. I have two older sisters, two brothers-in-law, and a younger brother. My parents are two of the most incredible people I know and I have been so blessed to have such wonderful role models who love me unconditionally and show me, through example, what it looks like to live a life fully for the Lord. My family has been there for me through thick and thin and they always rally around me and support me in all of my many endeavors. I love them dearly and am so blessed by their love for me.

I am currently a senior at Texas Christian University, studying Early Childhood Education with a focus in Special Education. I will be graduating from TCU in May 2013. I love children with all of my heart and I know that I want to spend the rest of my life loving on them and helping make their lives a little better, in whatever way that may look.

Ever since my senior year of high school, I have had a deep passion and desire to go abroad and do mission work, but the timing was never right. For three years I kept on trying to get mission trips lined up, but they kept falling through, so I just waited and waited for the green light from God. I was getting restless. Finally, during the second semester of my junior year, I felt like the Lord was telling me that it was time. Through several random and unlinked conversations with people about the World Race, a tiny, growing seed was planted in my heart for this particular mission experience. Around April of 2012, the Lord reminded me of the race and I began thinking about it seriously and praying about it. After numerous divine confirmations that this was the Lord’s will for my life, I applied and committed for the July 2013 race! The Lord has called me to the nations—to love on others and also to have my own heart transformed by His love, and I am very excited for this journey and can’t wait to see what all the Lord has in store!
God is SO good and I am blessed beyond measure to play a part in His plan!!! He is SO good!!
