We are back from our youth camp!  It was a crazy week!  I am trying to catch up on my blogs, so for now, I am just going to give a brief overview of some of the highlights from this week.

Our days started at 6 am with “Morning Glory” worship Kenyan style with the rising sun…beautiful.  Then, after a yummy breakfast consisting of “Mondazi” and “Chai Tea” (2 of my new favorite things) we would head out to the surrounding villages to do door to door evangelism.  Several people had never even heard of Jesus or God before, and several more made decisions to accept Christ.

The afternoons were spent either swimming in Lake Turkana (literally an oasis in the desert!), and then resting….it’s the hottest part of the day, so no one did anything.  In the evenings, we would have an open air crusade..where they set up the sound system on the back of a big truck…and we would evangelize and preach and worship to those attending (average around 50 people).  Lots more people got saved, and several were healed.  One night we were able to show the Jesus film, translated in the local Turkana language.

We also were able to spend time discipling the youth at the camp.  Overall it was a crazy but good and fulfilling week!
