Hello family and friends!
It’s me again! Our team has been blessed with internet access for this entire weekend so that means another newsletter for everyone…with videos!
Our squad is very lucky to have dani (yes, she spells her name with a lowercase d) as one of our Squad Storytellers for the year. She is extremely talented in making videos and will be sharing her gifts by re-telling our stories each month thru them. And she recently finished posting her Thailand recap videos so I wanted to pass them along to you all below!
I’ve already touched upon many of them in my last newsletter (click here if you missed it!), but dani’s narratives add further detail to some of the things I shared on and also capture a few more moments that I forgot to highlight — plus it’s in video! Hope everyone enjoys them and gets a clearer picture of what we’re doing out here!

TRAVELING TO AND THRU THAILAND!

This video recaps our first official travel day as a squad — from meeting each other for the first time and flying out of LAX to our layover in China and then finally to our 10 hour bus ride from Bangkok to Chiang Mai!
MEET THE SQUAD!
This video introduces our squad mentors, coaches and leaders, and also shows our first exploration of Chiang Mai — from checking out a nearby mall to looking for a coffee shop for that elusive wi-fi and of our first (of many) visits to the local night market for dinner, shopping and more!
TRAINING CAMP!
These next three videos capture what Training Camp was like — from our travel to the ranch and gear hike (video #1) to camp life and team-building exercises (video #2) and also our worship and teaching sessions, enjoying life on the ranch and simply goofing off as a community (video #3)!
MEET MY TEAM: LIFT!
This video begins by showing all four teams and then proceeds by following our first night together as Team Lift! Luckily for me, dani is on my team so I get the benefit of having her capture our team’s memories for the next few months. And our first night of “making memories” as a team — sharing our backgrounds over dinner, trying durian and lantern lighting over the Iron Bridge!
Side note: our team name of Lift was inspired from this first night team activity, where we lifted the lanterns and our wishes to God for the year as a team!
OFF DAY FUN!
These next two videos highlight two of our off day adventures — hiking down Buatong Waterfall (or Sticky Falls) (video #1) and cliff jumping at Chiang Mai Grand Canyon (video #2)!

MINISTRY!
This video captures our prayer walk ministry — from our first day walking thru the slums and to the bar street area to celebrating Ye’s birthday!
Unfortunately, no video of our monk chat visits though!
TRAVELING OUT OF THAILAND!
And lastly, this video recaps our travel day out of Thailand — from our 10 hour bus ride back down from Chiang Mai to Bangkok to transferring to vans and crossing the Thailand/Cambodia border carrying all of our gear!
Hope you enjoyed all the videos! January in Thailand was without question a busy and fun month for our entire squad, full of many stories and memories!
