Paparazzi
Did you know that I am a Caucasian women of about 5’4 with
brown hair and blue eyes. Also did you know that no matter how long you stare
at me that is not going to change. Crazy how that works.
This past weekend my team along with the Germans we have been
hanging out with all month made our way to the Taj Mahal. Nothing like 45 hrs
of either waiting for a train or on a train to spend 3 hrs at a tomb. Anyways
it was gorgeous and it was awesome to capture it with my own eyes.

As you might of guess from the title and first paragraph we
felt a little exposed this weekend. I could not list how many time and all the
different ways people made us feel uncomfortable, but here are a few to give
you an idea.
While waiting in the train station to go to the Taj people
would just stop and stare. The would form circle around the whites to just
watch us. While on the train men would peer around the corners of the walls
just to look at us ladies. At the Taj there were more people taking pictures of
us or with us then I think we took pictures total. I had a couple pay a
professional photographer to take a picture with me, and I got to hold the
ladies hand while doing it. We have all gotten to the point of almost being
anooyed at the fact that we are white. I almost want to buy one of those black
muslim dresses that cover everything so no one will look at me. I just have to
wait to Eastern Europe where there is
slight possibility that I will fit in.
All in all it was a good weekend we had a lot of fun and had
quite the adventure.

I even had dirty feet to prove it. 🙂

Thank God for Showers and thanks for reading!!
