Why the World Race? Well it’s a long story…

At the end of the spring semester
2009 there was a chapel speaker that had a meaningful message and I had forgot
a pen and paper so I leaned over to my roommate and told her to remind me to “Live Sent” she wrote it down and we went on listening. Then the usual happened, where you get something out of a service and
after a couple of days you don’t even remember that you went to chapel.
2-ish months down the road
It was the start of the camp season, it was my first time working at Seneca Hills. It was staff training and everyone was giddy and excited for what the summer held. As we settled into a long week of training we also had an awesome chapel speaker. He talked about how we are to live sent and the great commission. It was a powerful week and the concept of living sent was really put on my heart.
3-ish months later
Ok so back at school now. Marina (my roommate) and I are unpacking and trying to get everything situated. Out of no where she says” Live Sent.” I just kind of laughed it off, I thought she has seen my water bottle from the summer that has my LIVE SENT sticker on it. Then i realized she was looking in a notebook. I was like wait what are you talking about? and she proceeded to remind me of the chapel last semester. I had to sit down I was so freaked out. (not really freaked out but you know what I mean) “Ok God that was weird, but I like it”

a couple of weeks later
Marina and I head to church, just expecting another day. We get there and there are starting a new sermon series, on (drum roll please) LIVING SENT!! I was speechless! I was like ok God I get it you want me to live sent! Now the next step was figuring out how to do that…
This whole process was just in awesome experience for me, I mean I’ve seen God presence in my life before but never like this and this blunt. From there I prayed for ways that I could Live Sent and I not only try to do it on a daily basis but I truly feel that God is sending me in the World Race. and that Guys and Dolls is why I’m going on the World Race. (oh and I love to travel and don’t want to get a job or go back to school, BUT ultimately i’m LIVING SENT!)
