What impacts me?
Once a month someone in our youth group is given this question and asked to share our answer with the congregation at our youth service. I’ve helped just about everyone who’s been chosen to participate, but when the question was directed at me I had so much to say. I definitely knew it would be related to missions, but what exactly I wanted to talk about I wasn’t sure. I thought about it a lot and finally I came to a conclusion. There was one thing in particular that wouldn’t leave my heart and mind
As a missionary WHAT IMPACTS ME…is all the amazing group of supporters who are standing behind me, because of them The World Race is a dream come true.
It is through all my supporters that I receive constant confirmation that this is what God has called me to do. Stepping out in faith and being accepted to The World Race is the biggest life changing decision I’ve ever made. In my moments of fear I thank God for being there with me and placing and army of amazing people who have chosen to partner up with me so that God’s love is shared throughout the nations.
As I type this I know there is a group of courageous people who have chosen to dedicate their time to coordinate our transportation, safety, contacts and where we will stay while we’re out on the field. I have full trust and faith in this group of people who are taking care of me without even knowing me. MOBILIZERS, I love you and thank you for what you do!
To the pastor, missionary, and/or minister in all 11 countries who have never met me and are involved somehow whit the planning to help our teams do the most good while we’re there, know that you are appreciated and loved. These men and women of God are opening their homes, offering their cars, and anything they can because they’ve understood that as RECEIVERS everything they do glorifies God.
For my mother and all those who are praying fervently for our team’s safety, our leaders, the countries we’ll be visiting, our finances, and for God’s love to pour over the people of Latin America know that there is so much love in my heart for you. It is through your prayers that God will open up paths for us to walk on. As an INTERCESSOR you’ve understood that what can’t be done with prayer can’t be done at all. Keep those prayers coming because they are being heard.
Finally, I want to thank all the SENDERS because you give me the opportunity to “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to all creation.” When you give financially you give me more then you could ever imagine, you’re giving me encouragement, love, and trust. Your financial support means so much to me.
Behind every missionary there is an army of people who are standing firmly behind them and with out God and this army The World Race wouldn’t be.
