Hey everyone! My name is Sam Van Dyke. I am 18 years old and a senior in high school. High School has been a very rough time for me. I never felt I truly fit in. I always felt judged and misunderstood. During this time I fell from God. Not fully but I was straying. Something that ceased to amaze me was how God never gave up on me even when I gave up on him. God IS GOOD! Coming on the last couple months of high school I still have my struggles, but now I know with all my heart that I’m not alone and I don’t have to go through it by myself. I have God by my side. Currently I live in Wheaton Illinois with my mom, dad, and two brothers. God brought The World Race to my attention by my mother. The first time she told me about it I kind of just said “That’d be really cool” but I never really thought too much of it. But I sat with it and prayed on it for a while and God kept telling me that I needed to be apart of this. So I went to my mom and we started the application process. I have been blessed to be picked to go on The World Race.
