Woohoooooo! I tell you….God is good! 😀 all the time! (and all the time, God is good) Amen?! 🙂
So my last post I was mentioning how a bunch of seemingly negative things were happening, but how God used them to straighten out the path for what He has, and also how I felt like things could finally move forward 🙂 Well… they definitely have been, slowly but surely. But the enemy hasn’t been too happy about that either… hahaha! So here is what’s been going on…
1. God’s provision
So let me tell you the story behind this picture… somehow I was led to search for the specific kind of pack I would need for the trip on OfferUp. Just so happened that only one was available at the time and the guy lived pretty close by. It was only a few months old and listed for $100 (normally $200). Nice! But I thought,”I wonder if he would sell it for $80? No…$100 is already really good…” Well… without me even saying what I was thinking, the guy offered to sell it to me for $80… LOL! I was supposed to meet him in about a week. A few days before, he asked if I could possibly pay $100 because he is going to school and doesn’t have all the money for his books. I was hesitant at first because I’m thinking,”He already said $80, he should stick to his word.” But the Lord was speaking to me during that time that it is more blessed to give than to receive. So I thought,”You know…it was a blessing that I received that $80 offer, but he needs the money and it would be better to bless him…” So I went to the bank and took out $120 (expecting to give him $100). I meet up with him and I look at the pack, he asks me what I’m buying it for, I mention the missions trip, he says “well if you are using it for that, I have some other stuff if you think you might need it…”. He takes off and a few minutes later comes back with a sleeping bag, sleeping pad, and portable stove. I’m thinking about the list of things I need and how the sleeping bag and pad are actually on that list! So I ask how much for everything, he says “throw me an offer”, I say, “ummm…$120?”, He says, “you got it” 😀 hahaha! Well just a moment before I give him the money this car pulls up next to us (ghetto neighborhood) and this guy comes out saying, “where’s my money!”(my translation) Well praise God he was patient enough to wait for me to give the guy the money for the stuff. Maybe he saw my Christian car stickers…lol. Then he took off in the car. I thought and said, “Man… good thing I got here when I did!” After asking some questions, it turns out he grew up catholic but doesn’t read or go to church – so I got to share the gospel with him and encourage him to read and pray and seek the Lord, and I got to pray for him. I go home wondering how good a quality all this extra stuff was – turns out they are pretty good! But what really got me was that if I would have bought everything brand new, it would have came out to $530+ but I got it all for $120! 🙂 God is good!! 😀 Also, thank you all who have been donating! 🙂 You are such a blessing! I appreciate and are encouraged by your faith in giving 😀
2. God’s grace
So since my last post, I have been going through way more attacks and struggle… For example, I started getting a lot of little itchy bumps all over me (I counted over 30 of them) and I had no idea where they were coming from…BUT…God helped me to keep going on what I needed to do and not focus on that. His grace was sufficient 🙂 I recently had to work on a Saturday – and on that day I was bitten by a big dog, and during the day I found a small brown widow inside my face mask… BUT…. God was there 🙂 As I was working in that backyard (with the dogs now tied up haha) I was thinking, “You know what God…anyone else would probably get angry…I could be angry…I feel like I have a reason to be…I could be angry at that dog… but I’m not 😀 I have peace, and I’m not angry at that dog.” I still don’t know what’s up with that whole spider deal and how it got in there…but whatever hahaha. The peace of God that surpasses all understanding! What satan used for evil, God made good out of it 🙂
Over this past week I was really struggling spiritually… feeling down, defeated, almost hopeless… BUT…. God was there 🙂 In my weakness He showed Himself strong and used me even still to encourage a new believer. Not only that, but the timing…. I had serviced this house many times over the last year or so and for some reason this was the very first time ever meeting this person… how funny that it was in a state of weakness… Haha! What satan used for evil, God AGAIN used for good and His grace was sufficient! 🙂
When God is moving, no one can stop Him! So if God is for you, who can be against you?! 😀
