So a few months before coming to the world race I had this great idea to possibly interview and record testimonies of people throughout this 11 month journey. I had my laptop and $30 microphone ready to go. But a few days before leaving Atlanta Georgia to our first country (Belize) I had on my heart to get a more expensive microphone/voice recorder. It would have been more convenient and safer to use as I would not need my laptop to record, and therefore make myself less of a flashy target for robbery.

In Georgia I only had a few days to buy it but I had no idea how… the nearest place who had it for sale was 12 miles away. I had prayed if it was even God’s will and He gave me peace about it. One of those days I had found out that a few people might be taking an Uber or Lyft to Best Buy, which is where I needed to go – so I saw that as an open door and confirmation from God 🙂 I ended up going with sister Praise and we were both able to get what we needed. The cool part is that on the way back, the Lord sovereignly placed us in a car with a Spanish speaking driver, which gave us opportunity to practice our Spanish before going to Central America and also be a light 😀 From that time to this month I thought I would be using this thing a whole lot. I was wrong…

All of Belize and Honduras I did not use it at all… in fact I felt like it was just taking up space and I was thinking of hopefully selling it to someone…. then we got here to our ministry site in El Salvador 🙂

One day I was talking to someone and somehow something came up about how the pastor here doesn’t upload messages on the internet. I didn’t know if it was because it wasn’t possible or because there was no desire, so I asked the pastor if he had any plans to do that. If I understood correctly, they had equipment – which as far as I know included a camera, but someone stole it/all? At this point the Lord put on my heart to at least offer the voice recorder to him if it might help further their plans for uploading. He thankfully and joyously accepted 😀 It was such a blessing to me to see his reaction! Here is the best part…

Not too long after that day, the pastor came up to me and let me know that they had recorded and uploaded their first message!! xD (He actually went online and played it for me – it was so cool!)

Here i was thinking that the whole thing was a waste, even though God gave me peace about it, and then He uses it (and hopefully continues to use it) here in a different country to spread His word! I am so blessed that the Lord granted it to me to used in such a way!! Thank you Jesus! 😀

So the next time you buy something because God gives you peace about it, don’t assume it’s going to be used how you think! Hahaha! xD

*important note for subscribers* In a few days we are leaving to Vietnam. Due to the nature of things there, my blogs will be password protected! So stay tuned as I will be revealing the password in my next blog in a few days (most likely as a ‘description’ that should show in the email) God bless!
