This month I got two cool words from God, but there is a story behind both so I’ll share them.

So for the first few weeks of this month in Romania I was hoping to find a barber shop to get a haircut. I  thought to myself “I will hopefully find a barber shop and pay for a hair cut.” It wasn’t until around the end of week three where I finally ran into one in Craiova and went to get a haircut. But they couldn’t do it. It was by appointment only and the next one available was the same day we were leaving that city in the morning. Two days later some of us went to Pitesti and the church opened its doors to some homeless people to hangout, eat, take showers, AND… one of them was giving some of the others haircuts. I thought I’d ask if he could give me one and in my heart I wanted to give him some money for it. He agreed and did it, in fact two others helped πŸ™‚ When I offered him some money he refused, and with a smile pointed up and gave glory to God. This isn’t the first time I thought to give a homeless person something and instead they bless me with something, but I was surprised. I thanked him. The next morning I read Matthew 6:33 “Seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness and all these things will be added to you”, which reminds me of the verse that says “delight in the Lord and He will give you the desires of your heart.” (Accidentally almost put ‘His’ heart. But same thing :D) What I got from it is that the whole time I was seeking out a place and was willing to pay, leaning on my own strength and understanding, God had a free haircut planned for me the whole time πŸ™‚

Also in Craiova, I was at a beautiful park just hanging out for a while – listening to music and praying. I was sitting under a tree and looked up and saw the sunlight shining through the leaves. I thought of the verse where Jesus told Nathaniel “I saw you when you were sitting under the fig tree”. The same day or the day after I read Matthew 6:33, I also came across that same verse I just quoted and it reminded me of what happened at the park πŸ™‚

Not only does God want to provide and grant us things (instead of us ourselves trying to get it) but even more so – He SEES us πŸ˜€ Always
