Arrived in Honduras a few days ago. This is an all squad month, so I am happy to be around the rest of the squad and spend some time with them when we are not ministering. Also happy about the fact that it’s not super hot and the brothers and I get to sleep outside in our tents ๐Ÿ˜€ I like our ministry site, but its way different than our first month in Belize…

This month we are doing ministry at an orphanage home for people who have been abandoned because of their disabilities, mental and physical, or “defects”. I enjoy being around everyone there. Most of them are super friendly and love hugs ๐Ÿ™‚ but it can be challenging and tiring at times… the language barrier (with those who are able to speak) gets me a little discouraged sometimes, and even when we try to speak to them in Spanish sometimes they just choose to not conversate.

I know in time things may change and I’ve been needing reminding from others (because I DO forget sometimes) that the love of Jesus is also expressed physically by our actions and not just verbally. This is a little silly to me that I need reminding, considering that last month in Belize I gave a message to a church youth group about that.

It‘s hard to be ok with not getting the gospel across verbally, so I am just going to  pray for them and share with them what I can as I show them God’s love by actions that He will draw them to Himself however He wants, because He can do what I may see as impossible.

As I had read in a devotion this morning… I need to just trust God and trust in His goodness and power ๐Ÿ™‚
