This week was our first week back at our care points in two weeks. And I think it was the best week at ministry that I have had here. The energy level from all of us was the highest we have ever had. We realized a little while ago that we have very little ministry days left at the care point and I think that the thought of that flipped a switch in all of us to bring even more than we already had been.
The three days that we went to our care point I don’t think we ever stopped moving. The kids definitely noticed a difference to because that made them ask us more things and want to do more with us. I really saw an improvement of the relationships that we have with them. It really was incredible to see how God was moving through us to put smiles on the faces and joy in there hearts.
This Saturday the other Sam and I got the opportunity to go on a hike to a waterfall with one of the long term missionaries Nelson and his two buys Wesley, who is 15, and Connor, who just turned 11. It was an amazing experience to be able to spend more time with Nelson and his boys. Nelson has so much wisdom and humor it is such a great time to be around him. He is able to provide so much insight to how to be mission oriented back in the states as well. His story is also incredible. He was able to be vulnerable with us and shared his story with all of his struggles of how he ended up to be serving the Lord here in Swaziland.
This week the Bible verse that really seems to to sum it up is Matthew 19:14, which says “Jesus said, let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these”.
