We have not had WiFi where we are staying so I’m sorry for not posting a blog sooner! We are at midpoint debrief which is a week away from our ministry site where we get a week to relax and have teachings and learn wisdom from our mentors and coaches in the states. It’s all around a great time! I just thought I’d share just a small piece of something I’ve been learning this week:
I learned a really cool thing about missions and it was that missions is not the end goal in our Christian walk. The end goal is universal reconciliation for universal worship. So, basically our goal is for all things in Heaven and on Earth to be reconciled and united under the Lord and for those things as a collective to worship the Lord. Our goal is to sow seeds of reconciliation.(2 Corinthians 5:16-21) Our mission (where we’re called) is the avenue and the method used for us to sow those seeds. So our mission gives us a platform to be able to share the news of reconciliation with others. Also, it goes along with bringing Heaven to Earth because in Heaven, all things are restored and reconciled. We are in this place that’s between Jesus saying that He’s already reconciled everything and still living in this place that isn’t reconciled. So our mission is our partnership with the Lord to see the end goal of everything being reconciled (Jesus says it’s already done because he operates on a different time and so he’s already reconciled everything) and now it’s our job to partner with the Lord to be part of the work that is going to come to fruition. So we know that reconciliation is going to happen and us being obedient is the grace of God that allows us to be a part of what’s happening and a part of His plan. A plan that would happen regardless of us but He asks us and entrusts us to carry it out and partner with Him to carry it out.
